In the Latino culture, there is a standard set for what it means to be a man. How he acts, dresses, and socializes are all part of the Machismo mentality that many Hispanic men are ingrained with from birth. However, in the gay culture, there is a push away from that, to be one’s self regardless of society’s status quo.
In our documentary we explore what it is like to not only be Latino, but gay; a minority within a minority. The documentary brings to light what many Latino men face by being both Hispanic and gay, and how each community views them respectively. This short film was a documentary project funded through kickstarter.
